Answer
Who does MotorGuide or Power-Pole warranty repair in Northeast Florida?
The short answer
Trolling Motor Services Plus, at 6735 Greenland Industrial Blvd in Jacksonville, is a certified warranty repair shop for MotorGuide, Power-Pole, Minn Kota and Rhodan. The shop repairs or replaces a unit to the manufacturer’s recommendations, sells and installs trolling motors, and is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. For a free estimate, call 904-573-0480.
Is the shop actually certified for these brands?
Yes. The Services page lists certified warranty repairs for Minn Kota, MotorGuide, Power-Pole and Rhodan trolling motors, and the About page describes the business as a fully certified warranty service center that repairs or replaces units according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. The same About page extends the list to Stealth Chargers, Cannon Downriggers, Garmin, Lowrance and NOCO Gen Pro.
That list matters because a warranty job is not the same as a repair. The manufacturer decides what is covered, and only a shop it has certified can do the work under the warranty rather than around it.
What should I tell the shop before I bring the unit in?
The model, what it is doing, and when it started. A MotorGuide that cuts out under load is a different conversation from a Power-Pole that will not deploy, and the shop’s own Minn Kota repair page asks for the same two things: the model and a description of the problem.
Have the purchase paperwork to hand as well. Warranty terms belong to the manufacturer, not to the shop, and they usually turn on when the unit was bought. Mention anything else on the boat that is misbehaving at the same time, because a motor fault and a wiring fault can look identical from the helm.
Is my MotorGuide or Power-Pole still under warranty?
Warranty terms are set by MotorGuide and Power-Pole, not by the shop, and Trolling Motor Services Plus does not publish them. Check the paperwork that came with the unit, or the manufacturer’s own site, before assuming either way. The shop can then say whether the fault is one the warranty covers.
If the unit turns out to be out of warranty, the job does not stop. Trolling Motor Services Plus repairs trolling motors and shallow water anchors whether or not a manufacturer is paying for it, and an estimate is free.
What if it is not a warranty job?
The shop repairs it anyway. Trolling motor repair is listed on the Services page alongside sales and installation, and the business sells Minn Kota, MotorGuide and Rhodan motors and installs every make and model. A motor that is past its warranty, or a fault the warranty does not cover, is still a job for the same bench.
Sometimes the better answer is a replacement rather than a repair. Ask. Because the shop sells the motors it services, it can put the two options side by side without sending you elsewhere.
What decides whether the repair is covered?
Three things, and the shop sets none of them. The manufacturer’s warranty terms, which say what is covered and for how long. The date of purchase, which is why the paperwork matters. And the cause of the fault, because a warranty covers a defect and not every way a motor can be damaged on a boat.
What the shop does control is the diagnosis and the repair, done to the manufacturer’s recommendations by a certified center. Where a job falls outside the warranty, the shop quotes it as an ordinary repair, and that estimate is free.
How far does Northeast Florida reach?
The shop is in Jacksonville, at 6735 Greenland Industrial Blvd, 32258, and its site says it serves Northeast Florida boaters. No wider service area is published, and nothing on the site promises pickup or travel. If you are coming from well outside the Jacksonville area, call first and check the trip is worth making for the job you have.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call 904-573-0480 with the model and the symptoms, or use the contact form.
Can the shop check the wiring and the charger at the same time?
Yes, and it is worth asking for. Trolling Motor Services Plus checks and repairs boat electrical systems, rewires boats completely, and installs and maintains Power-Pole chargers and Stealth chargers. A trolling motor that behaves badly on a weak battery bank or a corroded run of cable will come back from a warranty repair and do it again.
For the electrical side of the shop, read the marine electronics and wiring page. If the Power-Pole is going on for the first time rather than coming off for repair, the Power-Pole installation page is the one to read.
Questions we get asked
Do you do Minn Kota warranty work as well?
Yes. Minn Kota is on the same certified list as MotorGuide, Power-Pole and Rhodan, and the shop has a separate page on Minn Kota repair in Jacksonville. Call with the model and the symptoms, the same as for any other brand.
Is Power-Pole a trolling motor?
Power-Pole makes MOVE trolling motors as well as shallow water anchors and chargers. These are different products. TMS installs hydraulic shallow water anchors and works on Power-Pole chargers. Call with the product type, model and fault to confirm the repair or warranty service for your equipment.
Do you sell MotorGuide motors, or only repair them?
Both. Trolling Motor Services Plus sells Minn Kota, MotorGuide and Rhodan motors and installs every make and model, so a repair conversation can turn into a replacement conversation without a trip to another shop.
How do I get an estimate?
